Steffi Laier gewinnt wieder!

"The season went already as a rocket for Steffi. Feeling 100 procent good on the Factory Red Bull KTM made
her win moto by moto. Leading the championship with already 25 points advance of Livia Lancelot it was all
eyes on her to beat her concurrent at home!
We went to France for the 4th round of the World Championship at the legendary Saint Jean D’ Angely!
Steffi really wanted to win this one and with an impressive ride she did also win the overall. Second became

Fontanesi before Larissa Papenmeier. On Saturday really hot race conditions would make it not easy. 41°C in the sun was the temperature on the France ground. Race 1: The holeshot was again for Steffi. After pushing the first 10 minutes hard, there was no person who could keep up this tempo.
Steffi would win the first race with a strong performance. 2nd place went to home rider Livia Lancelot before Maria Franke.
Sunday was something complete different. After have a really big rain shower in the morning; the track was completely changed in
mud. It would be a race to survive.

Race 2: The holeshot was again for Steffi but after the first hill down, the first crash already happend. The
lead was then taken by Fontanesi. Steffi could start her way about 10th position. The track was covert with
riders and it was using everything to stay straight. After a couple of laps she could work her way up and
became second. She did even crash on the end of the race but there was no rider who could pass her.
The leader of the race; Fontanesi; was to far away to catch up. Steffi would become second. 3 would be
Larissa Papenmeier.
FINAL RESULTS:
With a first and second place it would be enough to take the overall. Fontanesi would become 2 before
Larissa Papenmeier. Steffi speaks:" I really enjoyed my riding on Saturday. I could easy controle the race.

Sunday it was a different story. It is still hard to say it was even a race. I crashed 2 times
and riders were everywere. It was a survival. It was hard to relax in the beginning because I wanted to get in front but it wasn’t easy
to make some speed in this conditions. I am happy that I won the GP of France. I wanted to beat
Livia today and make my leading in the championship stronger. SO I did. I am looking forward to the next
GP to ride for my home fans and hope to make the best of it there...”
